Bekah and Maria's Cell
Hello everybody! I am a senior at Purdue Fort Wayne (although I still call it IPFW) planning to graduate in December 2019 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Human Services. I love playing board games, card games, shopping at Goodwill, and completing puzzles. Our group has a focus on reading the Scriptures and goofing around with fun Fr. Mike Schmitz videos. We’d love to have you join us!!
PS. This is Jimmy the Camel and he loves to give kisses!
Karena+ Claire + Anna's Cell
Yo yo yo! My name is Karena. I am the second oldest of 10 kiddos and I am go to IPFW for nursing. I work at a factory part time where I help make security doors. I quite like candles, ducks, stars, my family, my main girl Mary, outside, pens, flowers, food, stickers (especially those dinosaur ones), and adventuring with friends. I want 15 kids (although my boyfriend Josh hasn't agreed to that yet, if we get married), and I don't wear matching socks because it makes my life more colorful and fun. And I get distracted very easily and love the way babies smell. My favorite way to imagine Jesus is in a room with realistic stars painted all over it and me laying my head on Jesus' lap while we talk. My dream is to be the woman I was created to be.
Hello! My name is Claire and I am studying nursing at USF. I also work at a retirement community as an Activities Assistant. I have loving parents, a brother (who also a Brother in a religious order), a fluffy dog, and a fat cat. I love art, Reese’s, and warm weather! When I’m not studying, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and reading adventure novels. I love to pray through Scripture and spiritual books because they guide me to go deeper in my faith and I learn something new every day!
My name is Anna. I am a sophomore at IPFW, and someday I plan to teach the youth of America. I am the second oldest out of six kids, and I thoroughly enjoy being part of a large family--there is never a dull moment. I am obsessed with country music and One Direction (which they are not broken up, they're just on break!!) In between working at a local country club and a fine chocolates company, I enjoy being around my friends, singing my heart out, horseback riding, stuffing myself with chocolate, and of course....living out my faith!!
“In Catholicism, the pipe, the pint, and the cross can all fit together” – G.K. Chesterton. We’re a group of guys with very diverse passions from engineering and automechanics to philosophy, but we all agree that we can glorify the Lord through our community, and as a community we enjoy, the pint, the pipe, the cross… and good food. We’re a very laid back group, and we start each Thursday evening meeting with a meal and then do our best to plumb the mysteries of the faith, because, “as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17) We started out with several weeks of discussing the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and we have big plans for the future, such as outdoor adventures, bar crawls, sporting events, and all things manly. If you’re a man and you’re looking to grow in your faith, come join our fellowship because, “for where two or three are gathered, there I am in their midst.”
Hello! My name is Parker, I am 23 years old, and currently a student at Purdue University – Fort Wayne studying Engineering and working part-time at an engineering firm in town. I love hiking, kayaking, swimming, running, friends, and God. If you want to know more about me, come to our cell group—we would love to have you!
